Relics of Americana, featuring Evan’s photographs of abandoned motels, diners and roadside attractions is now complete and available here!
Motels, diners, and drive-ins were once a celebrated part of the American roadtrip experience. Today, they decay.
After a wildy successful Indiegogo campaign in summer 2014, Evan took to US Highway 301 with Brian C Veith to explore the dormant relics and forgotten byways of US Highway 301 in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. Now, after months of editing, this docu-photo book is finished (finally. woo!) and available for purchase.
Peter and the Starcatcher is off and running! Evan is thrilled to join the Playmakers Repertory Company production as Boy/Peter, a role he understudied and performed in the original New York production at New World Stages.
Directed by Brendon Fox, the Playmakers production has been called a ‘deliriously fun ride’ by the Raleigh News & Observer, and runs through December 12th.
Evan is joined by Mitchell Jarvis (Black Stache), Brian Owen (Smee), and company members of Playmakers Repertory Company.

Relics of Americana is well on its way. August is just around the corner, which means Evan and Brian will be hitting the road soon!
With just over a week left , we’ve raised over 63% of our goal, and have been consistently trending in the top 10 of Indiegogo’s photography projects.
With your help, Evan and Brian can hit the road and create a published photo book that truly captures the ghosts of historic route 301.
Evan steps behind the camera (and behind the wheel) this August!

Evan and his friend Brian take to the road in South Carolina, Georgia, and Northern Florida, documenting the current state of motels, diners, gas stations and more along US Route 301. Nicknamed the Tobacco Trail, this stretch of highway boomed in the 1940s – 1960s, but much of what remains today are relics of their former glory. At the completion of the road trip, Evan will publish his images into a photo survey, showcasing US Route 301 today.
