Noted as “excellent and game” by The New Yorker, EvanJohnson is a bi-coastal performer currently based in Los Angeles and working in film, television, and theater. He can be seen most recently in ABC Studios/Marvel’s The Punisher, now streaming on Netflix.
He made his “strong Off-Broadway debut” (Backstage) in the world premiere of Thomas Bradshaw’s Burning at The New Group, directed by Scott Elliott, and was also in the Broadway production of Peter and the Starcatcher at New World Stages.
On stage, Evan has worked with directors including the late Roger Rees, Jess Chayes, Paul Lazar, and Brendon Fox and performed Off-Broadway with The New Group and at New World Stages. He has created devised performance works with Chip Rodgers, selected to participate in Incubator Arts Project’s Short Form festival.
On camera, Evan can also be seen in the independent features Wildlife and Please Talk With Me and the short film”Heavy Metal” for The Bench Project . Evan has also filmed Datebook and Olkwood web series, as well as various film projects with New York University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Hofstra University, and New York Film Academy.
Evan graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College, and gravitates toward thoughtful, socially-minded projects.
